Every pre-owned certified Ford comes with a 12 month/12,000 mile comprehensive limited warranty. The warranty mentioned includes protection of over 500 parts. The following list is just a small sample; the engine, brakes, steering, transmission, electrical repairs, emissions, Ford audio, air conditioning and heating, front and rear suspension and lots more. You also receive a 7 year/100,000 mile powertrain limited warranty.

The need for roadside assistance is rare but does happen. In the event you need help or are stranded, simply dial the provided 800 number. They are able to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This service is complimentary after purchasing one of our fine certified pre-owned vehicles. A short list of services they provide are as follows; towing assistance, rental car reimbursement, fuel delivery, flat tire change, jump starting and lockout assistance. 2014 Ford Fiesta Spotlight

First off, this car is sleek in design and a beauty to behold. This 4-door sedan comes standard equipped with leather and metallic trim, keyless entry, MyKey, AUX input jack and a multifunctional message center on an LCD screen. Another popular standard feature this car has is the Sync with Sync Applink. This is a voice activated system so you can control your favorite apps while driving. The outside of the car has just as many impressive features. The new Easy Fuel Capless fuel filler lets you simply fill up without the hassle of a fuel cap. This also allows for less fumes and emissions to be released since it seals automatically. The power mirrors on the Fiesta also have an integrated blind spot mirror. This is undoubtedly handy for keeping clear of cars in areas you can’t see clearly. As far as handling goes, this car is wonderful. The Fiesta is driven by a 1.6L Ti-VCT I-4 engine that puts out 27mpg city and 38mpg highway. And for those of us who like the feel of a manual transmission, this car also has the PowerShift six-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift. This option delivers similar performance and efficiency that a manual transmission would.

Safety was big on the list when they designed this car. With that in mind, they added seven standard air bags, side-curtain airbags, a driver’s knee airbag, child-safety rear door locks, a tire pressure monitoring system and the SOS post-crash alert system. Ford’s Summer Spectacular Giveaway

Enter the Ford Summer Spectacular Giveaway. From July 7 until September 3, you can enter to win a new 2013 Ford car, truck, or SUV. The choices of what you can win are amazing since they have 10 different vehicle options for this giveaway.

August Events around Temple

Looking for something ot do this month? There are several exciting and entertaining events going on right here in Temple during the month of August.

There is always something captivating happening at the Cultural Activities Center in Temple, Texas. For years now, the Cultural Activities Center, or CAC, has been creating experiences and awareness in the arts and entertainment for the public. This center truly embraces the power of creation and aspires to enrich the lives of Central Texas through exploration, participation, and enjoyment in the fine arts. The goal was to link cultural arts with the importance on science.

The Inner City All-Stars event will be held August 31st starting at 7:30pm at CAC’s Frank Mayborn Auditorium. This electrifying event is a powerful combination of pure talent and highly energized music. You can’t help but to dance the entire night away! The Inner City All Stars have been considered new leaders of their own musical genre.

This group originated from Denton, TX, the same as Grammy Award winners Norah Jones and Bowling for Soup. They will be performing original numbers that are designed to get the crowd out of their seats and hitting the dance floor.

Take a much needed break from the normal and give Painting with a Twist a try. Located off West Adams Avenue in Temple and just 10 minutes away from Johnson Brothers, this is a new take on painting that involves a little paint, a little wine, and lots of fun! If you’re looking for a way to connect with your friends, or take a date night with that special someone, you are sure to have an experience like none other. This Friday, August 16th, the featured lesson is Sunset Bay with instructor Shelbylee Erkelens.

Fuel For Thought

Miles per gallon, MPG, is important and your Texas Ford dealer has a few tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your car. Things you wouldn’t necessarily think of such as keeping the road rage to a minimum. Aggressive driving habits such as rapid acceleration, breaking and speeding are major fuel wasters and will lower your gas by as much as 33%. By taking your time and driving sensibly, you will end up saving more gas and money than you thought possible.

If your vehicle is equipped with cruise control, it’s a great idea to use it particularly when traveling long distances. To save gas, stay at, or even a little under, the speed limit whiling driving at a consistent speed. Using your cruise control at highway speeds gives an average gas economy savings of 7%. By keeping your speed constant, you won’t be pumping extra fuel into your engine. In return, you will be saving gas.

Who knew that by removing excess weight that you could be saving gas. Every item you add decreases your mileage. So keep your vehicle’s trunk empty when possible. Remove any unnecessary items that maybe weighing you down and store them elsewhere. As little as 100 pounds extra in your car will reduce your MPG by 2%. You will be surprised how much it all adds up.

Underinflated wheels will decrease your mileage also. Not to mention they are a safety hazard. You can increase your mileage up to 3.3% by simply keeping your tires to their proper pressure. Remember that overinflated tires aren’t efficient either. Whenever you notice a drop in MPG, check your tires first. Properly inflated tires will help to improve fuel economy.

A vehicle running in poor condition will use more gas than one that’s been kept tuned up. Do this by staying on a maintenance schedule with oil changes, tune-ups, and keeping your filters clean. Using these tips will keep your Ford‘s MPG at optimum.

Saturday, June 15, Daddy & Me will be held at the West Temple Community Park from 10am to 12pm. This activity will provide a bonding experience by building and working together on projects. May Events In Temple

Many of us wonder what we can do with our spare time when we have it. For those of us who are not content to spend weekend after weekend at home, here are a few ideas from your neighbors at your local Temple Ford Dealer to get you out and about. Temple is full of events for people of all ages. An event coming up this weekend is the Hoagy’s Heroes Lone Star Six Shooter Charity Run. There are different start times on different days based on which type of run you sign up for. They have runs from 500 miles in 12 hours to 2000 miles in 36 hours. So if you have a motorbike, head on out and ride while supporting local charities!

Next, load up your Ford and head on over to the 5^th Annual Battle of Temple Junction Civil War Reenactment. On May 18, prepare to relive the battles of the Civil War. Temple was not founded until many years after the War Between the States was over. The purpose of this event is to demonstrate how the battles were fought and how troops lived and trained during the war. There also are food and period vendors, called Sutlers, who will be selling their wares to the general public and the reenactors.

Near the end of the month, May 25, there is a free movie in the park event. This will take place at Miller Park within the heart of Temple. The featured film is The Lorax which is a movie based on a favorite children’s novel by Dr. Seuss. So bring blankets, chairs, snacks and the kids to this outdoor movie extravaganza. It is sure to provide lifelong memories with the family.

2013 Bloomin’ Festival

Looking for a great way to get the whole family out this Mother’s Day weekend? Pack up your Ford and head on over to the Bloomin’ Temple Festival. This three-day event held on May 10th through the 12th will have music, games, car shows and a country music competition in downtown.

Entertainment: This festival is for people of all ages to get together and have some fun. Listen to live music played by local artists and bands such as Lee Roy Parnell, Ruben Ramos, Randy Rogers Band and others. The kids can enjoy the carnival with tons of food and games as they romp through Kid Zone or see the animals at the petting zoo. Feel free to have a picture taken at the Mother’s Day Photo Booth and save time for bike tours.
