Round Rock Express Giveaway

Round Rock Express GiveawayBaseball season is here for the MiLB. This season, you can enjoy watching the Round Rock Express play against several opposing teams. They are up against the Storm Chasers, Cubs, RedHawks and more. There are all kinds of special events and promotions as well during these games. Right now, we are thrilled to announce the Round Rock Express Prize Package. This contest is open to all and enter simply by liking them on Facebook. The winner of this contest will receive 2 tickets to see Round Rock Express play against the Oklahoma City RedHawks on Saturday, August 24th. The winner will also receive a $50 gift certificate to The Salt Lick!

Of course, you are probably familiar with baseball and the teams that are playing. But let’s give a little history about this amazing restaurant. The Salt Lick Bar-B-Que restaurant has been in business for well over 40 years. They cook and serve barbeque just as they did when the Roberts family first began in 1967; around a pit and campfire. The restaurant slowly built up around the pit that Scott’s father, Thurman, built in Driftwood, Texas. They have also opened a second restaurant in Round Rock right across from Dell Diamond.

Since then, their menu has grown remarkably well. They serve a variety of pork or chicken plates, sandwiches as big as Texas and salads for any taste. You can’t forget about dessert while you’re here! They sell homemade pecan pie by the slice and a ’la mode style. If you want your wedding or event catered, give them a call! They can set up at your place or theirs.

This great opportunity is brought to you by your Temple Ford dealer. The contest only runs July 1st through July 15th so enter here today!

West Benevolence Fund

Pray For WestTragedy is unbiased. Sometimes, unexplainably awful things happen for no apparent reason. The city of West, Texas encountered one such event on the day of April 17th, 2013. A fertilizer plant somehow ignited and caused a massive explosion that has wounded hundreds and claimed at least 15 people. Buildings have been damaged or completely obliterated by this blast. The SPJST, Slovanska Podporujici Jednota Statu Texas, has established The West Benevolent Fund in order to help rebuild the city.

To date, more than $30,000 has already been received. The first check of $3,937 was given to West Sokol to replace gymnastics equipment that was damaged due to the explosion. In order to raise more funds for rebuilding, the SPJST is holding a Gala event on Saturday, July 20 at Star Hall in Seaton, Texas. All proceeds will benefit the West Benevolence Fund. For only $50 per person, you will experience a night filled with delicious food from Slovacek’s Sausage and the musical talents of The Ennis Polka Boys and others. Your ticket purchase is also good for one entry into a drawing where the grand prize is a trip for 2 to the Czech Republic. There are other prizes to be won as well.

Of course they will accept any and all donations for their cause. If you donate $250 or more, your business will be printed in the program as an underwriter. All donors prior to the Gala will be listed in the program. They are also collecting merchandise for the auction, both live and silent, and for the bucket drawings. Any suitable gifts or services will be acceptable. There will also be a Pre-Gala party on Friday, July 19th which will include music from the 50s and 60s. There is no charge for this event and all ages are invited.

Join with your fellow West citizens and the SPJST in rebuilding this wonderful city. This message is brought to you by your local Temple Ford dealer.

Ford Has Gone Green

Ford is embracing the eco-friendly trend and stepping up to the plate by creating new vehicles that use the latest in green technology in order to fulfill it’s vision of being a leader in producing fuel efficient vehicles that help keep the planet safe and save you money. This year Ford is introducing several new vehicles that meet these goals.
Fusion HybridFirst up is the Fusion Hybrid which features the newest in lithium-ion battery technology. With it’s third generation hybrid system, it can reach speeds of up to 60 miles per hour when driven in all-electric mode on the highway. It gets up to 47 miles per gallon, combined, and includes built-in real-time data that helps to improve fuel efficiency. Additionally, it’s won accolades as the greenest car in Canada.
The Fusion Energi is a hybrid that can drive, battery powered, for up to 20 miles. So if your trips are short, there’s no need to be stopping in at the pump on a regular basis. In fact, you can go more than 600 miles on one tank of fuel, which means that many people will only have to visit the gas station just once a month. To recharge the Energi, plug it in to a standard electrical socket for four hours to get a full charge. In addition to allowing your money to stay in your bank account, Ford has done its part to save the planet with its innovative design of this vehicle. Among the materials used in this car, there are over 24 pounds of recycled plastic, fabric and metal. Additionally, the car’s organic seat foam is made of soybeans, which saves more than 600,000 gallons of oil each year the vehicle is manufactured.
To get your hands on one of these, or to find out more about them, visit your Temple Ford dealer today. We’ve got a huge selection of new and pre-owned Fords that are available.

This inspection includes the likes of the hybrid components, under-the-hood components, diagnostics and more. If any one of the 172 points fail during the inspection, they’ll either have to be replaced or repaired before it can be certified.
  • Warranty: Every pre-owned certified vehicle comes with a one-year, or 12,000 mile comprehensive warranty that covers more than 500 vehicle components. Aspects that are covered include the engine, transmission, steering, AC and heating units, brakes, electrical components and rear and front wheel drives.
